Gluten Free Salted Peanut Chews

1 pkg. yellow cake mix (Betty Crocker makes a yellow GF)
1/3 c. softened butter
Marshmallow Fluff (*Brand specific, it is GF, often found in Walmart)2/3 c. corn syrup
¼ c. butter
2 t. vanilla
12 oz. bag of butterscotch bits or peanut butter chips (GF)
2 c. Rice Krispies (GF)
2 c. salted peanuts
Mix cake mix, butter and eggs together for the crust and pat into the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch ungreased baking pan
Bake 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes, until light brown
As soon as you remove the first layer from oven smooth on about 1-1/2 c. of fluff, making a thin layer. Return to oven and bake 1-2 minutes longer.
Cool while making the next layer
In a sauce pan heat corn syrup, butter, vanilla, and butterscotch bits or peanut butter chips.
Heat this until smooth and all the chips are melted. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies (GF) and salted peanuts.
Immediately spoon warm topping over marshmallows
(you will need to press down a little and smooth out.
Cool, cut into bars, store covered.
